摘要：On The Weight of the World, published under the direction of the French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu, relations between school and social exclusion are discussed. The morphological changes of the education system all over the world,lead to a replacement of the brutal elimination by the soft one, diluted in time and postponed to higher levels of schooling. This type of exclusion, mentioned in the book as "exclusion from the inside", is experienced by those that suffer it as "treason", "disenchantment", loss of the highest raised hopes by expensive promises of education for all. The democratization and universalization of education seem to crash against the usually elusive mechanisms responsible for social exclusion, in a society which promises everything to everyone, but in a similarly disguised form.
