摘要:This article discusses the infl uence of personality traits and study approaches on students’ information-seeking behaviour. The article is based on a study of 305 university students who searched information for their master thesis. The results showed that patterns of information seeking could be related to personality traits and study approaches. Students who prioritised fast information retrieval were often unmotivated and conservative, insecure or easy-going to their character. Extraverted, open and competitive students searched information in a broad way, whereas students with a deep motivation for their studies aimed at high-quality information.
