摘要：In 1980 I was fortunate to meet Dr. Jack Hildes, who was the Director of the Northern Medical Unit at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada. Jack sent doctors to work in remote aboriginal communities in northern Manitoba and the central Canadian arctic. Up until that time, I had met a lot of skilled and caring physicians. However, I had never met anyone with Jack’s depth and breadth of vision regarding the health of communities and of peoples, including First Nations (North American Indian) and Inuit groups.(Int J Circumpolar Health 2003; 62(4):322-322)
