标题：Arquitectura y computación ¿determinismo o mediación?: del paradigma informacional hacia una tectónica digital

摘要：Este artículo responde a la crítica de las prácticas de arquitectura compu- tacional planteada por Kenneth Frampton. Se sugiere que la posición de Frampton parece derivar de la visión determinista de la tecnología expre- sada en “Hacia un regionalismo crítico”. En respuesta se argumenta que el estudio de la arquitectura computacional requiere análisis que superen las simplificaciones del determinismo. Se aspira a mostrar que la arquitectura digital es un vasto campo de exploración donde los intercambios entre tecnología y cultura ocupan un lugar central. Asimismo, que solamente comprendiendo lo anterior es posible entender la emergencia de las nue- vas aproximaciones que constituyen importantes transformaciones en la práctica de la profesión.
其他摘要：This paper is a response to Kenneth Frampton’s reviews of computer ba- sed architectural practices. It is suggested that Frampton’s position stems from the determinist theory of technology as detailed in “Towards a Cri- tical Regionalism”. In response to this, it is argued in the paper that the study of computer architecture requires an analysis that supersedes the simplifications of determinism. It is the desire of this paper to demonstrate that digital architecture is a vast field of exploration where the exchan- ges between technology and culture are of extreme importance. It is, as such, paramount to understand this when endeavouring to conceive the emergence of the new approximations that represent important transfor- mations in the undertaking of this profession.
