  • 摘要:The production of a new generation of telenovelas (soap operas) in Mexico merits an academic look that invites us to reflect on the social relevance they have, and in this way to understand what happens within the sphere of production. Through an interview with Epigmenio Ibarra, the authors attempt to understand, in an active voice, the production objectives of the telenovelas created by Argos. More specifically, it is very interesting to know his point of view -s producer of the telenovela Mirada de Mujer- with respect to the social impact that this telenovela had for tliousands of male and female spectators. The basic questions are: wliat does Produccionses Argos want to say to the Mexican men and women who are fervent followers of the telenovela.s produced by Argos?; from where does this new approach to the telenovelas produced by Argos come? with what and how can we relate the success oiMirada de Mujer from tlie perspective of production?; and what is the social perspective that lies behind the telenovelas oiArgos?
