摘要：Neste artigo pretendemos discutir as relações entre ceticismo e religião em Michel de Montaigne. A partir da leitura da Apologia de Raymond e outros ensaios do autor, analisamos, em primeiro lugar, a crítica de Montaigne à vaidade do homem, da razão e do saber, o que serve de base para a sua articulação original entre ceticismo e fideísmo. Na segunda parte, interpretamos a adesão de Montaigne ao catolicismo como um caso de adaptação cética às crenças e costumes tradicionais.
其他摘要：In this article we intend to discuss the relationship between skepticism and religion in Michel de Montaigne. Based in Apology of Raymond Sebond and other Montaigne’s essays, we analyse, first, Montaigne’s criticism towards to the vanity of man, reason and knowledge, that is the ground for his original articulation between skepticism and fideism. In the second part, we interpret Montaigne’s adhesion to catholicism as a case of skeptical adaptation to the traditional believes and habits.
