标题：“CABEÇA VAZIA, OFICINA DO DIABO”: CONCEPÇÕES POPULARES DO TERMO OCUPAÇÃO E A TERAPIA OCUPACIONAL

摘要：A proposta deste estudo é discutir os significados do termo ocupação e as implicações na terapia ocupacional, na perspectiva de futuros profissionais da área, utilizando-se como referência fundamentos da Teoria de Representações Sociais. Para atingir tais objetivos, foi realizada pesquisa qualitativa, utilizando como instrumento o grupo focal, com o provérbio “cabeça vazia, oficina do diabo” como provocador da discussão. Participaram da pesquisa 26 alunos de graduação de Terapia Ocupacional.Os dados, analisados através de análise do discurso, apontaram regularidades discursivas que delinearam três categorias: (1) ócio, tempo livre, (2) valores associados à ocupação e (3) ocupação e a terapia ocupacional. Para os estudantes, esse termo foi valorado positivamente quando associado ao provérbio, porém, rejeitado quando associado à terapia ocupacional. A rejeição da associação do termo à profissão afasta a terapia ocupacional do domínio público, do senso comum e busca sua demarcação no discurso científico.
其他摘要：Based on the proposal of discussing the meanings of the term occupation and the implications for occupational therapy, from the point of view of future professionals, qualitative study was undertaken, using as the focus group, with the saying “empty head, devil’s workshop” as provocative discussion. The research involved 26 undergraduate students of Occupational Therapy. The data, analyzed through discourse analysis, pointed out discursive regularities which have outlined three categories: (1) leisure, free time, (2) values associated with the occupation and (3) occupation and Occupational Therapy. For students this term was valued positively when coupled TO the proverb, however, rejected when associated TO Occupational Therapy. The rejection of the association of the term to preclude the occupa tional therapy profession in the public domain, common sense and points in the direction of a demarcation in the scientific discourse.
