摘要：Este artigo analisa a história da indumentária infantil no século XX por meio de fotografias infantis publicadas na Revista do Globo, a qual era editada na cidade de Porto Alegre/RS. Para a compreensão das significações de tais representações imagéticas, a história da infância também é revisitada a partir de uma revisão bibliográfica, que se ocupa em identificar as principais transformações ocorridas no conceito de infância e, consequentemente, na moda infantil. A análise das imagens foi realizada através de conceitos elementares da Semiótica (signo, significantes e significados), através da qual foi possível identificar os prováveis sentidos presentes nos trajes infantis.
其他摘要：This article analyzed the history of children’s clothing the 20th century, from child photographs in Globo magazine, which was published in the city of Porto Alegre/RS. To understand the significances of these imagetic representations, the history of childhood is also revisited starting from a bibliography review, which identified the main transformations that took place in the concept of childhood, and consequently in children’s fashion. The images were analyzed through elementary concepts of Semiotics (sign, signified and signifier), through which it was possible to identify the probable meanings present in the children’s clothing.
