摘要：Fundamento: La parálisis cerebral constituye una causa frecuente de discapacidad permanente en la población infantil. Objetivo: Conocer la incidencia de la parálisis cerebral infantil. Método: Se realizó un estudio transversal descriptivo en el período comprendido entre 1986 hasta el 2003, en nueve áreas de salud del municipio Camagüey. Resultados: Se demostró que mientras la tasa de mortalidad tenía una tendencia a reducirse, la tasa de parálisis cerebral tendía a incrementarse, alcanzando en el 2003 la cifra de 3,56 por mil nacidos vivos. En todas las áreas de salud hubo una tendencia a incrementar la incidencia, pero los valores de incremento no fueron los mismos en todas las áreas, oscilando las tasas entre valores de 3,89 en el área Centro
其他摘要：Background: The cerebral palsy constitutes a frequent cause of permanent disability in childlike population. Objective: To know the incidence of the infantile cerebral palsy. Method: A descriptive cross sectional study in the period between 1986 to 2003 was carried out, in nine health areas of Camagüey municipality. Results: It was shown that while the mortality rate had a tendency to be reduced, the cerebral palsy rate tended to be increased, reaching in 2003 the figure of 3.56 for thousand live birth. In all the health areas there was a tendency to increase the incidence, but the increment values were not the same in all the areas, oscillating the rates among values of 3.89 in the Central area and 1.67 in the Western area.
