摘要：El propósito de este artículo es indagar en las percepciones y valoraciones de la experiencia escolar en un contexto interétnico. Presentamos información proveniente de 30 relatos sobre la educación y la experiencia escolar de personas mapuches de la precordillera de la Comuna de Panguipulli. Los resultados nos muestran que las experiencias en la escuela estuvieron marcadas por la discriminación étnica en la mayoría de los entrevistados. La discriminación se vivió en la interacción con profesores y otros estudiantes, diversos aspectos del currículum y las normas escolares. Se reconoce también una discriminación estructural con referencia al acceso desigual a la educación por parte de los mapuches.
其他摘要：This article is aimed at describing the meaning and perception of the school experience in an interethnic context. We present qualitative data collected through in depth interviews of a group of 30 mapuche people from Panguipulli. The main results show the way school experience was one of ethnic discrimination for most of the interviewees. The experience of discrimination is related to interaction with teachers and other students, school norms and contents taught in the classroom. Informants also describe their perception of discrimination as a result of the unequal access to education.
