Having a relic aspect in the Oti-Keran National Parc, they are important for the rural populations and the wild fauna. This study has been conducted to better identify plant diversity, the dynamics and the current state of preservation. Some plant inventories have made it possible to register 326 species. The average density of the ligneous plants is 788 trees/ha. The distribution per diameter classes of the ligneous plants reveals a predominance of small diameter plants. The natural regeneration study reveals that, in our working conditions, the main ligneous species regenerate essentially by seeding (~89%) and very little by stump shoot (10.8%) and more rarely by sucker (0.4%). The temperature increase and rainfall decrease resulting from climate change have a negative impact on the ligneous plant dynamic of these forests. The effects of these phenomena are shown through an acute abnormal mortality of trees (mortality rate of 21.2%), especially at the level of the small diameter plants.
