摘要：Author Luc Foulquier Key words: ecology, resilience, terminology DOI : 10.1684/ers.2011.0484 Page(s) : 412-6 Published in: 2011 At its origin, the meaning of the word “resilience” lay in the domain of physics; it was then extended to health, to psychology, to finance and especially to ecology. It followed a path that was simultaneously scientific and societal in that the question of resistance to stress and of reactions to ecosystem damage is becoming increasingly important. Consideration of these evolutions in its meaning and usage led the Special Committee on Terminology and Neology to propose a general definition, which was accepted and should be taken into account.
