摘要：The farm size—productivity relationship is tested using nonparametricefficiency measures based on distance functions. This approach toefficiency measurement is less restrictive and more informative thanalternative methods. For a group of Honduran farms, diminishing returnsto scale render smaller farms more economically efficient overall, despitethe relative technical efficiency of larger farms.
