摘要：The purpose of this research was to determine theproportion of abstracts in pharmacy journals that areprepared according to the CONsolidated StandardsOf Reporting Trials (CONSORT) criteria for abstracts.Certain abstracts for randomized controlled clinicaltrials (RCTs) indexed in PubMed were eligible forinclusion, with the primary endpoint being medianoverall compliance to CONSORT recommendationsfor abstracts. A total of 63 RCT abstracts wereincluded in the analysis, with only 56% of therecommended CONSORT items represented in thesample. It is recommended that pharmacy journalsencourage authors to follow CONSORT recommen-dations for abstracts when submitting RCTs forpublication
