摘要:In this paper, a face/gait recognition system for personal identification and verification using genetic algorithm. This face/gait Recognition System (FRS/GRS) is also being trained for gender identification. The Face/Gait recognition system consists of three steps. At the very outset some pre-processing are applied on the input image. S econdly face/gait features are extracted, which will be taken as the input of the BPNN and genetic algorithm (GA) in the third step and classification is carried out by using BPNN and GA . GA to identify gender. The genetic algorithm implemented with neural network to determine automatically the suitable network architecture. The multilayer neural-genetic algorithm was applied in image processing for pattern recognition. The multilayer perceptron(MLP) neural network integrated with the genetic algorithm, the result showed good optimization, by reducing the number of hidden nodes required to train the neural network (the number of epoch's reduced to less than 50%). The Experimental results of the implemented algorithm is the reduction in the time required to train the neural network
