This book is one of three bibliographies self-published in print format under a Creative Commons license. The scheme here is the same as one of Bailey's other works that was previously reviewed, Transforming Scholarly Publishing Through Open Access 1. As outlined in the previous review, Bailey compiles bibliographies on various aspects of scholarly publishing in the digital age, publishes them in open-access format on his website, and offers print versions of the bibliographies at a reasonable price. Bibliographies do not make good reading: what readers really want is to have an anthology and to read those sections of most interest. While anthologies are constrained by copyright permission and cost, bibliographies have their own genius, and Bailey's related genius is in working in an area of librarianship that is mystifying to most in the field.
