摘要：The concept for this column beganin 2010 with the work of anadvocacy committee formed atthe suggestion of Lucretia W.McClure, AHIP, FMLA, and sup-ported by the History of the HealthSciences Section of MLA. The fruitsof those labors were published inFlannery's comment and opinionpiece, ''Advocating for Historyand the Health Sciences Librariesand Librarians: A Position Paperby the History of the HealthSciences Section, Medical LibraryAssociation'' [1]. A symposiumissue on history followed in theJournal of the Medical Library Asso-ciation (JMLA) in January 2011
