摘要:This study aims to investigate the long run relationship among the current account deficit and the trade deficit for two developing countries, naming India and Pakistan. The reason behind selection of these two is that both of them are facing deficits in trade balance and current account since their independence except few years. To achieve this objective, time series data from period 1981 to 2010 is gathered and regression analysis, co integration, and granger causality techniques have been applied. The results of regression analysis showed significant positive relation s among the twin deficits for both the countries. Co integration results proved the existence of long term relation ship among the twin deficits. Granger causality showed that bidirectional causality does not for both countries, meaning they cannot be used as predictors
