摘要:While stress at work is unavoidable to a certain extent, various research findings indicate that mental and physical health is degrading among workers due to an increased burden under the recent difficult economic conditions. For example, the bar chart in Figure 1 shows the "percentage of workers feeling different degrees of tiredness during their regular work" in the last ten years, according to the "Survey on Workers' Health Status"1carried out every five years by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. Every year only about 10 percent of workers, including men and women, answered that they were "very tired," but the percentage is gradually increasing. When including those who are "slightly tired," the percentage has remained above 70 percent since 1997
