摘要:Entering the last decade of the 20th century, the economic environ-ment affecting Japanese firms changed substantially. The long-termgrowth rate had been on a downward trend before then, but accelerat-ed even further in the 1990s. The annual average growth rate, whichstood at 10.5 percent in the 1960s, fell to 5.1 percent in the 1970s, 3.9percent in the 1980s and eventually to around one percent in the1990s
