摘要：Apart from bringing Indonesian and non-Indonesianscholars together and stimulating labour research inIndonesia, this conference also sought to inspectIndonesian labour history during different periods ofthe twentieth (and twenty-first) century. In addition,the conference examined how different interests andpolitical agendas (those of nationalism, liberalization,decentralization, and decolonization) interface withworkers' interests, both at national and local levels,and explored the state of theorizing within Indonesianlabour studies
