摘要：The recreational function of forest is a desired and commonly used way of leisure time spending by inhabitants of the Czech Republic. The recreational forest function is considered an internal part of modern multifunctional forestry. The article deals with analysis of reasons influencing availability of the recreation in forests in chosen areas of the Czech Republic. The analysis focuses on rarely visited areas investigating the availability of respective destinations and quality features of recreational infrastructure in forests of individual areas. The extensive survey, which has been performed during recent years and is still going on, focuses on differentiation of localities with minimal recreational potential in the Czech Republic, and to reasons for minimal visiting intensity. The proof of minimal knowledge of the destinations hidden-from-tourism is based on questionnaire surveys at the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague.
