摘要:This article was originally published in a different version in JaSeSoi Journal 1996(the magazine of the Orff-Schulw erkAssociation of Finland) and in Rhythmoi 1997 (the magazine of the Hell enic Orff-Schulwerk Association). This revised version w aspublished in the Summer 1998 i ssue of The Orff Echo (the magazi ne of the American Orff-Schulwerk Association), in the InstitutoPolit¨¦cnico de Macau's 1998 Gazette and in the March 1999 issue of The Orff Beat (themagazine of the Orff-Schulwerk Society ofSouthern Africa). In recent years in Italy in t he musical educat ion field there has been an ever widermethodological divide between t heapproach to the musical experience in general and the approach to the traditional music system. While t he first of t hese two didactic areas is ever more directed towards creative games, the second has generallybeen unable to free itself from substantially academic techniques. As if to say: children, creativity is like playing a game, but Music w ith a capital M is hard work. The following examples indicat e t he possibility to vent ure into the traditional areain a purely game form using"manipulation" procedures of Orff instrument s, undoubtedly legitimate vehicles of formalized musical experience. Theseprocedures not only offer a very tactile familiarity with the notes, but also leads to recognition in a very concrete, empirical w ay of some of the basic structures of our music system
