摘要：This article explores the evolution of the environmental agenda in organizationand management research. This is done by studying how the research community responded tocalls for interdisciplinarity voiced in key journals in the mid-1990s. It finds that someaspects of the interdisciplinary agenda have not been taken up; in particular the study ofthe biophysical environment has been difficult to integrate into organization and manage-ment studies. The study considers the reasons for these difficulties especially from a sociologicaland cultural perspective on academic work, and explores the viability of different scenariosfor future development
