摘要：The top management of a company needs to obtain accurate information about the economic environment so that it will be able to implement a proper risk management that will ensure the success of the company. The article aims to present an overview on the theory of risk management and the different studies performed in this area during the years. Economic agents need to have solutions for each risk that appears so that the company will not go bankrupt as it has been the case of a huge number of companies from Romania. The performance of a company is strongly correlated to the decisions taken by managers so managers are obliged to pay attention not only to their companied but also to the business environment
