摘要:This paper examines the effect of religiosityon the meaning of work forJews in contemporary Israel. In 2006 the Meaning of Workstudy used a sample of1175Jewswho wereparticipating in the Israeli labor market. The findings revealthat religiosity affected all sixdimensions of the meaning of work.SecularJews had higher intrinsic and economic orientation and higher work centralitythan traditionalistsJews and especially higher than religious Jews.Moreover, religiosity correlated positively to interpersonal relationsand obligationand entitlement norms. The findings and their meaningin the unique Israeli reality arediscussed in the paper
