摘要:The “Long-term Period of Matrilocal Residence after Marriage” (LPMRAM) tradition has a long history among minorities in the southwestern provinces of China, such as Guangxi, Yunnan, and Guizhou. In this article, the author investigates LPMRAM in among the Kam people in Zhanli Village, Congjiang County, Guizhou Province. In this village, LPMRAM serves to protect women and train them to be wives and mothers. LPMRAM is thus an extremely beneficial practice to the people of Zhanli
