摘要:The objective of the study was to evaluate the functional relationships existing in a hospital, on the basis of a diagnostic questionnaire. The studied population consisted of 261 members of medium and lower medical personnel as well as department nurses and heads of division. Functional relationships were referred to in questions concerning persons capable of introducing changes into working plans, responsible for professional careers, including organisation of courses to increase professional knowledge of workers. According to the majority of personnel, their direct superior is a professional authority who can make decisions concerning basic professional issues. Statistical analysis showed that the answers depended significantly on the respondents’ education. The better-educated workers felt a greater need for permanent improvement of professional knowledge. Moreover, managers should raise their qualifications in the field of organisation and management to improve the quality of working relationships, and consequently the effectiveness of work
