摘要:In this paper we investigate the field tunnelling through the narrow waveguide channel formed by reducing the height of a rectangular waveguide. Geometrical parameters of the channel and material properties strongly affect the energy tunnelling and field density in the channel. The role of material losses is systematically examined as an important practical issue limiting the maximum achievable tunnelling transmission level
