摘要:The monograph of "Double-Y BALUNs" written by Dr. Branka Jokanovi. and Velimir Trifunovi. represents an account of research and original solutions of small-sized microwave components. Essentially, the subject of this monograph is design, realization and testing of very specific microwave components ¨C BALUNs, which have been the center of authors' interest over many years. BALUNs or symmetrical-nonsymmetrical line transitions should provide symmetry of conducting balanced lines towards the ground with minimal attenuation and reflection while keeping minimal dimensions. New double-Y baluns developed by the authors of this monograph, which they also have presented in many published papers and which have provoked positive reactions, confirm considerable contribution of the authors in both their originl classification and pioneer and accurate research of both known and novel structures. Thanks to the possibility to analyze the complex structures of new BALUNs theoretically and to practically realize appropriate models, the monograph gives an overall approach to the problem of BALUNs leaving almost no unanswered questions. Moreover, authors also gave examples of application of these new BALUNs in the structures of balanced mixers of most favorable characteristics. The monograph is a valuable publication for anyone who should confront the problem of miniature microwave circuits. With their original approach to the solution of complex theoretical and practical problems, the authors have presented themselves as original and efficient researchers. Theirs is an example of how to treat a scientific problem on a highest possible level
