摘要：Ever since the outbreak of the Arab revolts/uprisings/riots/ insurrections/revolutions, the question of which of these terms best describe recent events in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, and now Bahrain, Yemen, and Syria, has formed the fulcrum for a deeper political rift reflecting the unconsolidated ideological nature of early 21stcentury politics. At stake in whether we consider, say, the popularly forced ousting of President Mubarak in Egypt as a revolution is an interconnected set of strategic, ideological and conceptual questions.
