摘要：The main purpose of this study is to critically analyze the instrumental way the economic process is described and, consequently, modelled and predicted. The weak and irrelevant points of this situation are indicated and assessed in the study and, based on such conclusions, a new paradigm of the economic process is proposed: the viability paradigm (as logical sum of the sustainability and of the moral code of the society). The viability paradigm is presented and assessed as a way epistemologically rebuild the economic science, based on the concept of logically vivid system (the coherent and the consistent set composed by the nature, the human and the institutions). All the above mentioned stand to sustain a qualitative criticism of the orthodox equational models that today describe the economic process (dynamic equations, discrete variables, random variables, dummy variables) as well as to introduce two new hypotheses much more relevant to describe a teleological – generated and viability – based economic process (and implicitly, to describe the logically vivid system): the reaction diffusion equations, and the wave (ripple) equations
