摘要:Security monitoring and control are very important for stable operation in wide area system. The research of security monitoring and control of wide area system has been studied in this paper. The wide area monitoring system has been implemented in electrical power grid for the purpose. The system is utilizing the technologies of Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU). In this paper, the optimal decision algorithm of PMU installation to guarantee observability for security monitoring in electrical power grid is suggested. Also, the new design concept of PMU is introduced. The focus of PMU design is to apply d-q transformation and Phase Locked Loop (PLL) for improving the robustness of measurement.
