摘要:Advancements in the field of medical imaging have made it possible to view the whole body in the form of cross sectional images. In case of the diseases of the brain, the neurologist mostly relies on the magnetic resonance imaging of the brain for diagnosis. The first step in reporting of the magnetic resonance images is reviewing of the cross sectional images at various levels. This paper describes a novel technique to locate desired slice using moments on a feature reduced MR image database. Every pixel in the image is labeled with the code of the texture primitive based on the local neighborhood and the eccentricity value on that gives a good measure in classifying similar and dissimilar slices
