标题：Evaluation of knowledge about Integrated Management of Neonatal and Childhood Illnesses (IMNCI) approach among the internee doctors

摘要：IMNCI is an important strategy beingimplemented across our country with the aim ofreducing infant as well as children under-5mortality. It has also been incorporated in theundergraduate curriculum for M.B.B.S. Thiscross-sectional study was carried out among 100internee doctors of Smt. NHL MunicipalMedical College, Ahmedabad. The resultsshowed that 32% internee doctors were not ableto classify child's illness for possible infectionbased on symptoms given. Also only 50%correctly knew the National ImmunizationSchedule. The only descriptive question relatedto treatment of malaria as per the IMNCIguidelines was not attempted by 21%.
