摘要：The purpose of this paper is to applya modified Shift·Share modeP to the problem of delineating changes in the employment dimension of the Canadian provinces over the period 1961-1971. In doing so we propose to provide a technical note on the Shift-Share technique and an empirical offering. The first section briefly describes the methodology, aims and shortcomings of the Shift-Share technique. The second section expands on a modified version of the Shift-Share model, and the model itself is specified. The results generated by the model are analyzed in the third section, and finally the conclusions of the study are presented.
