摘要:It is importan t to deliver approp riate services to re ques ted users . In case of un avail ability of a use r requested composite s ervice, en force s the syste m to invoke se rvice sele ction that involves choosi ng in dividual concrete services towards service compositi on. The services are sel ected bas ed on two cri teria: i) functi onal base d an d ii) non -functional based. The former en tails sele ction of s ervices based on fu nctional prope rty that the se rvice is de dicated to do and the latter elite selection of se rvice s based on the QoS attributes such as reliability, availability, cost, an d re spon se ti me. Seve ral popul ation -based and swarm-based optimiz ation algori thms are wide ly use d for the process of web service selection. In this work , we empl oy a stoch astic opti mization algorithm called S elf O rganizing Migratin g Al gorithm (SOMA) and compare i ts pe rformance with GA and PS O . The comparative stu dy e viden ces th at S OMA produce s promisi ng re sults and is the refore able to se lect user requ ested service in an e fficie nt manne r.
