摘要:Swarm Intelligence (SI) is the co llecti ve b ehavior o f decent ralized, self-org anized systems, natural or artificial. The concept is empl oyed in work on artificial intelli gence. The i nspiratio n oft en comes from nature, especiall y bi ological syst ems. The ex pression was int roduced by Gerardo Beni and Ji ng Wang in 19 89, in the cont ext of cellul ar ro botic systems. SI systems a re typica lly made up o f a populatio n o f simple agents o r bo ids i ntera cting lo cally with one ano ther and their environment . The ag ents follo w very simpl e rul es, a nd a ltho ugh there is no centrali zed control structure dictating ho w individ ual agents shoul d behave, local, and to a certain deg ree random, interact ion between such agents lead to the emergence o f "intellig ent" glo bal behavi or, unknown to the ind ivid ual a gent s. Swarm Intelli gence is a rela tivel y new p arad igm being ap plied in a host of research setti ngs to improve the manag ement a nd cont rol of l arge numbers o f interacting entities such as co mmu nica tions, co mputer and sensor netwo rks, sa telli te co nstellatio ns a nd more. Attempts to take a dva nt age of this paradig m and mimic the beha vior of i nsect swarms however o ften lea d t o many different implementa tions of SI. Na tura l examp les o f SI includ e ant colo nies, bird flo cking, anima l herding , ba cterial g rowt h and fi sh schoo ling . This article provid es a set o f genera l princip le o f Swarm Intelli gence.
