摘要：This paper discusses on the implementation of project work in secondary schools. A main idea of project work is to make students the centre of their learning processes. Project work opens possibilities for students to act in an investigative way. The focus here ison the use of Internet to support the communication among students working with a project in a mathematics classroom. It refers to the design and development of a project involving teachers and students from four Brazilian schools.Finally it makes some consideration on the school organisation, access to information and communication technology and the use of mathematics
