摘要：Due to the rapid growth in online business, social, academic, banking, shopping etc. related activities, the significance of client server based 2-tier, 3-tier architecture and internet based network architectural environment based computing is now self proven. According to changing and emerging scenarios the current software industry and software engineering practices are turning to this direction because this situation is challenging to the currently working software system if they are not enough or incompatible to compete or to work with specific efficiency with this situation. This research work is focused to resolve this kind of issues where there is old legacy software system which is of type monolithic and need to be upgraded to be compatible with service oriented architecture. This research work is focused to develop a reformation framework for the service orientation of monolithic legacy software; the research has developed a framework consisting of four phases with resolving many legacy service orientation issues, challenges and problems. This framework is implemented and validated by industrial case studies, prototyping and CASE tools
