摘要：Recent financial crisis forced several theorist to suggest that Islamic finance is the solution to all financial predicament and if the shariah based disciplined approach towards finance could be adopted by all economies of the world than future financial crisis could be avoided. These tall claims encouraged to take a look at emergent financial phenomenon of Islamic Finance and put it forward to a common man in understandable terms, what Islamic finance actually is and how it works. The article also discusses the rise and journey of Islamic finance. Influence, principles, need as well as impact that Islamic finance has created in recent times. Story of growth moreover acceptance of Islamic finance by several fast developing as well as developed countries of the world has also been discussed briefly. An effort has been initiated to understand the intricacies along with the reasons for the growth of Islamic finance. The emerging trends, future prospects as well as regulatory problems of Islamic finance have also been discussed.
