摘要:Topology construction is the area that studies the reduction of the network topology, while maintaining characteristics like coverage, energy consumption. Now days, coverage and energy consumption is very big challenges because it affects the number of sensors, connectivity and lifetime of the network. Sensor nodes are driven by batteries and have very low energy resources, if the nodes consume more energy than the life of the network is reduced. Topology construction protocols are the protocols which help us to reduce energy consumption. In this paper we compare the three protocols (A3, EECDS and Kneigh tree) in terms of coverage and energy consumption. The result shows that the Kneigh tree protocol covers the more area and consumes less energy than A3 and EECDS protocol.
