摘要：This paper presents image compression using 9/7 wavelet transform based on the lifting scheme. This is simulated using ISE simulator and implemented in FPGA. The 9/7 wavelet transform performs well for the low frequency components. Implementation in FPGA is since because of its partial reconfiguration. The project mainly aims at retrieving the smooth images without any loss. This design may be used for both lossy and lossless compression.
