摘要:The mobile ad hoc network is a decentralized and self organized wireless network which does not work on any fixed infrastructure so it is having a time variant topology which varies time to time due to the mobility of the nodes. In the same way the natural world is enormous, dynamic, incredibly diverse, and highly complex. Despite the inherent challenges of surviving in such a world, biological organisms evolve, self-organize, self-repair, navigate, and flourish. Generally, they do so with only local knowledge and without any centralized control. Our Mobile Ad hoc networks are increasingly facing the similar challenges as they grow larger in size. Many research efforts have been made based on the Genetic Algorithms for the development of the various data routing techniques for MANETs. As a result, genetically inspired research in Mobile Ad hoc Networks is a quickly growing field. This survey paper begins by exploring why Genetics and MANETs research are such a natural match. We then present a broad overview of genetically inspired research in MANETs. We concluded how genetics concepts have been most successfully applied in MANETs.
