摘要：Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are usually deployed for gathering data from hostile environment. Various issues in WSNs are formulated as multidimensional optimization problems, and approached through bio-inspired techniques. Swarm optimization (SO) has been applied to address WSN issues such as optimal deployment, node localization, clustering and data-aggregation. It can avoid network congestion and fast consumption of energy of individual node. This paper outlines issues in WSNs, introduces Swarm Based Intelligent approach and its suitability for WSN applications.
