摘要:The article deals with the issues of economic disparities in Romania, by region and county, after the year 2004, employing statistical indicators of variation and inequality. The analysis extends those studies that have identifi ed but not quantifi ed the role of labour productivity differentials in explaining the regional economic growth disparities. Using an inequality decomposition method, we found out that territorial variation of labour productivity is the main determinant of economic growth disparities in Romania.
