摘要:This paper aims to analyse the way Literature has been taught in publich schools, in different groups of Junior and High School. This research intends to observe if literature has been taught as a means of grammar teaching and ‘filling up book reports’ or a means of effectively developing readers. The results of this research were made up by a data analysis within the comparative method, in a qualitative and quantitative approach. These results can aid teachers and students to develop an awareness towards the importance of literature study, through this brief theoretical reflection and classroom environment observation.
