摘要:This article analyzes the progress of football activities in two cities located in the colonial region of Rio Grande do Sul, Novo Hamburgo, founded and inhabited mostly by Germans and their descendants, and Caxias do Sul, birthplace of the Italian colonization in Rio Grande. The aim is also to make a comparison of these two distinct cities on football point of view, ethnic organization and the world of work but showed similarities and differences between the two processes related to soccer practice and the development of their clubs. From this, it starts from the beginning of that football was a common element in the daily life of many cities in southern Brazil at the beginning of last century e that this sport was a culture and sociability manifestation linked to the local masses, strongly influenced.
