Tras mostrar la permanente actualidad del tema del autoritarismo en Psicología Social, se pasa a analizar los estudios sobre el autoritarismo de izquierdas y de derechas, revisando la bibliografía exis- tente e incluyendo los datos empíricos obtenidos con 407 sujetos, todos ellos estudiantes universitarios, a los que se les administró la Escala F en diferentes mo­mentos a lo largo de los últimos doce años. Pues bien, los datos encontrados confirman los hallazgos anteriores que apuntaban hacia una clara superioridad en autoritarismo de las personas de dere­chas sobre las de izquierdas. Finalmente, se intenta interpretar los datos desde una perspectiva eminentemente psicosocial.

After showing the actuality of authorita­rianism in social psychology, we analyze the studies about left-wright authoritaria­nism, reviewing the bibliography in this field and analyzing our empirical data. Theses data had been obtained working with 407 subjects, all of them university students, who completed the F Scale at different times in the last twelve years. Our data supported the previous fin­dings: persons on the right are more au­thoritarian than those on the left. Finally, we try to interpret our data from a psi­cho­social approach.
