La aprobación social de una conducta y el menosprecio de la conducta opuesta constituyen características típicas de las normas sociales. Según estudios realizados recientemente en Buenos Aires (Argentina) parece que los cargos directivos aprueban las conductas leales de sus empleados. Es decir, que estamos ante la norma social de alineación de las que los sindicalistas son concientes. Nuestro objetivo es saber si los sindicalistas tienen conciencia de esta norma de manera global o si distinguen formas de concretarla, 2) si espontáneamente siguen estas normas en sus diversas materializaciones o si actúan de manera selectiva. Hemos utilizado el paradigma de la autopresentación sobrenormativa versus contranormativa, presentando a 90 sindicalistas de Buenos Aires una lista de conductas para que señalaran las que adoptarían espontáneamente, las que utilizarían para dar una buena imagen de sí mismos y las que seguirían para dar una mala imagen. Los resultados obtenidos revelan una percepción normativa muy débil y general y una tendencia a comportarse de manera espontánea y de forma selectiva.

The social valuation of a behavior and the devaluation of the opposite behavior constitute characteristics typical of social norms. Recent studies conducted in Buenos Aires found that managers valued the loyal beha­vior of their subordinates. That is, it seems that a social norm of alignment is at work and the union members are aware of it. We wish to know: 1) if the labor unionists are aware of this norm in a global manner or if they differentiate among its various forms, and 2) if they spontaneously follow this norm in its various forms or act in a selective manner. To answer to these questions, we used the paradigm of the overnormative versus counternormative self-report. We presented to 90 union members in Buenos Aires a list of behaviors and asked them to indicate those that spontaneously they were tempted to adopt, those that they would adopt to present a good image of themselves, and the ones they would adopt to present a bad image. The obtained results reveal a very weak and generalized normative perception, and a tendency to behave in a spontaneous and very selective manner.
